Being a revolutionary is difficult, oui? And yet a small number of well-educated people organized and mobilized the starving and run-down masses of France to overthrow the monarchy and create a Republic.
And while I can't recommend their approach (I would much prefer my head still attached!) I can't argue that they were effective. And it boils down to a few important things:
1. Know your enemy's weaknesses
2. Know what you are fighting for and how to fight
3. Maintain a flow of information and communication
So I believe education is key, no? Perhaps if I were educated to be a good queen, the people of France would not have been starving. Perhaps if the revolutionaries were more educated as they went, the Republic would not have immediately fallen to a dictator. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
Perhaps is no good.
But education is. So let's read books, articles, gather action items, and learn how to be revolutionaries together.
